EROTIC INTERVENTIONS (ERIN) - an ESSU coalition and weekly forum that engages in poetry writing, storytelling, song, dance and discussions surrounding the need to embrace the arts and empower ourselves through the expression of the deep and raging emotions that are silenced through the neocolonialist pedagogies entrenched in the ableist, racist, sexist, classist, nationalist, and transnational political, economic and academic discourses of today. In an effort to resist the surveillance and violent oppression of marginalized identities, expressions, sexualities and ways of being, ERIN is calling on the ES students, friends and allies to create this new disruptive space. The formation of ERIN will occur tomorrow and decisions will be made about weekly meetings, off-campus potluck/debrief hosted by Isabel following weekly meetings (FREE FOOD/DRINKS), the upcoming ERIN agenda, and participation in XAO.
ERIN LAUNCH: Thursday, October 15th at New College, Wilson Hall, Room***
